Stores to offer free coffee and Big Gulp drinks for all veterans and activity duty service members on Veterans Day on Nov. 11.
Alon Brands, the Dallas-based supplier and marketer of ALON fuels and largest 7-Eleven licensee in North America, announced the launch of its fall fundraising campaign for the United Service Organization (USO).
Throughout November and December, ALON 7-Eleven stores across Texas and New Mexico will collect customer donations at the counter to raise money for the USO, a private, nonprofit organization that lifts the spirits of America’s troops and their families, and supports those who need it most, including, wounded, ill and injured troops, families of the fallen, deployed troops and military families.
This fundraising effort is a part of a biannual campaign that Alon Brands started in the fall of 2007. According to John West, vice president of retail marketing for Alon Brands, the company has raised more than half a million dollars for the USO, to date.
“We’re proud to support the USO and the military heroes who protect and preserve our freedom,” said West. “This is a cause that’s important to our employees, our customers and the communities we serve, who continue to show their commitment to the troops, year after year.”
In honor of Veterans Day on Nov. 11, stores will also provide free coffees and Big Gulp fountain drinks for all veterans and active duty service members.
Alon Brands is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in North America, marketing ALON motor fuel products at more than 800 locations, including 300 company-owned locations in Texas and New Mexico.
