Corner Stores Kicks Off Children’s Miracle Network Fundraiser

Month-long campaign to benefit 32 children’s hospitals.

Now through Oct. 31, Valero Corner Store employees will ask customers to purchase $1 or $5 Miracle Balloon icons to raise funds for 32 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

The icons include a coupon for savings on goods in the stores, providing customers an extra incentive to make the $1 or $5 donation. In addition to the Miracle Balloons, customers will also have an opportunity to purchase a “Glow for Kids” glow-in-the-dark bracelet for $1, or donate their spare change. Last year, Valero Corner Stores raised nearly $2 million to benefit local kids.

Like all Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraisers, the funds raised from Valero Corner Stores’ month-long campaign will help fund medical care, research and education that saves and improves the lives of 17 million children treated at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals each year.

“Valero Corner Stores continues to impress us with their commitment to save and improve the lives of children in their communities,” said John Lauck, president and CEO, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “We are grateful for the efforts of dedicated employees and generous customers that have resulted in successful fundraising campaigns and countless miracles over the last 17 years.”

Valero Corner Stores have been a partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1995, raising funds for children’s hospitals through multiple campaigns totaling more than $17 million.
