VPS Convenience Store Group, operator of the Scotchman c-stores, hosts a golf tournament and auction on June 12-13 to benefit the Boy Scouts of America, Cape Fear Council.
The dinner and auction will take place at the Holiday Inn resort at Wrightsville Beach on June 12, and the golf tournament will be the following morning at Cape Fear National Golf Club at Brunswick Forest in Leland, N.C.
The annual golf tournament has become the largest fundraising event in the history of the Cape Fear Council Boy Scout program, and to date, VPS has contributed more than $1.1 million to the organization. The fundraisers have achieved national acclaim by the Boy Scout organization.
VPS plans to have a record-breaking year in fundraising through this tournament.
The Cape Fear Council Boy Scout program is headquartered in Wilmington, N.C., and serves more than 14,000 people through 2,100 volunteer leaders and 200 chartered organizations.
