At SaveOnBrew.com, customers enter their zip codes to find low prices and sales on beer in their area.
The Beer Institute reports that the most popular places to buy beer outside bars, restaurants and stadiums include: convenience stores (32%), liquor / beer stores (20%) and supermarkets (8%).
SaveOnBrew.com, a search engine made for beer products, is helping customers get the best deal. Consumers can enter their zip codes to receive a list of low beer prices and sales in their areas. The site lists prices from across the U.S., covering both small and large market places. Site visitors can also use mobile phones to access maps and directions to beer vendors.
“What we’re finding is that convenience isn’t the only factor driving beer sales these days,” Save On Brew Co-Founder Mark Davidson said. “Price is also a growing concern, especially in this sluggish economy.”
Davidson said some smaller, local businesses and breweries don’t get enough advertising for their products. “We wanted to find a way to bridge the gap,” he said.
Beer vendors can contact the site owners directly with their information about sales and beer pricing for free listing on the Website. Additional ad space is available for purchase.
“If you run a one-stop-party-shop that sells beer, cigarettes, hair weaves and contraceptives, we want you to contact us,” said Website co-founder Greg Thibodeaux. “if you’re a craft brew company who sells to the public, we want your prices.”
