BP funds grants for Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation as part of Fueling Communities program.
At its Annual Meeting and Trade Show Dinner, Handee Marts President & CEO, Mike Triantafellou, presented a grant check for $6,500 to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation.
President Greg Barrett was in attendance and accepted the check on behalf of the Foundation. The grant was funded by BP as part of their BP Fueling Communities Program. Fueling Communities provides grants to local organizations that are nominated by BP Branded Marketers to support the communities in which they do business.
This was the second consecutive year that Handee Marts nominated the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation and along with other fundraisers they hold annually for Children’s Hospital increased their total giving to nearly $600,000.
At the same event, Amardeep Randhawa and Paula Vietmeier shared the Franchisee of the Year Award and Triantafellou awarded this year’s President’s Awards to three store support center employees, Shelley Provident, Lisa Earhart and Cindy Gross, for their outstanding contributions towards Building Value Through Partnerships.
