“The travel center will serve this community through products and services as well as contribute to the local economy through jobs and tax revenue,” says Pilot Flying J CEO.
Pilot Flying J is opening a new Pilot Travel Center in Nevada, Mo., on Dec. 19, featuring full amenities for professional drivers and the motoring public.
The 6,511-square-foot travel center is located at 2424 East Austin Rd. off U.S. Highway 71, and features eight fuel islands and five diesel islands along with DEF and biodiesel at the pump. The facility also features high-speed fuel pumps that provide faster flow so customers can refuel quickly as well as a wide variety of convenience items.
“We hope that Nevada area residents and fleet customers will enjoy the convenience and amenities of our new Pilot Travel Center,” said Jimmy Haslam, president and CEO of Pilot Flying J. “The travel center will serve this community through products and services as well as contribute to the local economy through jobs and tax revenue. And, we’ll fill the needs of those carrying goods to communities across the nation.”
The Pilot Travel Center in Nevada is part of the network of more than 550 travel centers and travel plazas in the Pilot Flying J family, which serves more than 1.3 million customers every day across the U.S. and Canada.
The Nevada location includes an expanded hot deli; clean restrooms; pay phones; an AirVac, fax and copy services; Western Union and money orders; an ATM; lottery and Lotto tickets; laundry services; and general merchandise for professional drivers and highway travelers.
“We believe our familiar Pilot sign will be a welcome sight for interstate travelers and professional drivers. They’ll want to pull off to fill up, refresh and sample some of our featured food items like sandwiches, pizza and Oscar Mayer hot dogs,” said Troy Savage, general manager for the Nevada location.
“Our premium hot beverages include gourmet specialty coffees from all over the world as well as Pilot’s house coffee which was named the ‘Best Coffee on the Interstate’ by the readers of Truckers News. We also have a variety of fountain drinks, frozen drinks, fresh brewed tea and cappuccino.”
In addition to diesel fuel, DEF and biodiesel at the pump, professional drivers have access to such services as a CAT scale, three automated showers and 70 parking spaces for trucks. The Nevada location also features driver services such as Transflo and Trip Pak, so professional drivers can get in and out of the store quickly and be on their way.
As with all other Pilot Flying J locations, the Nevada Pilot Travel Center honors the new Frequent Fueler Advantage card and continues to honor points accumulated on the Frequent Fueler, RV Real Value Card and Driver Payback cards. Pilot and Flying J merged last year, and both brands are still available on U.S. highways.
