Some 100 Wawa c-stores are planned for Florida over the next five years.
Wawa, which operates more than 580 c-stores in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia, is set to begin construction on its first Florida convenience store across from SeaWorld at International Drive and Central Florida Parkway, in Orlando, Fla., the Orlando Sentinel reported.
The 5,000-square-foot store is expected to open in July, and was designed by Cuhaci & Peterson Architects of Orlando. After the first Florida Wawa opens its doors, four more locations are expected to follow.
The new stores are planned for the following locations:
• Hoffner Avenue and South Goldenrod Road in Orlando,
• John Young Parkway and Silver Star Road in Orlando,
• U.S. Highway 192 and Simpson Road in Kissimmee
• Orange Blossom Trail and on East Donegan Avenue in Kissimmee
