Email encryption from Zix Corp. helps 7-Eleven protect partner relationships.
7-Eleven began using ZixCorp Email Encryption Services in 2004, sending secure email to partners through ZixGateway, a policy-based email encryption solution. 7-Eleven expanded its use of secure email in 2008 by adding ZixMail, a desktop email encryption solution. In the most recent renewal agreement, 7-Eleven added ZixPort, whereby recipients without email encryption capabilities can access secure email through the company’s exclusive, customized portal.
“The protection of sensitive partner information is essential to our leadership as a trusted retailer,” said Todd Cohen, leader of 7-Eleven’s Information Security, Risk and Compliance practice. “Email is a critical communication tool in everyday business with our partners, and ZixCorp Email Encryption Services enable us to use email securely and confidently.”
7-Eleven leverages ZixGateway to communicate confidential agreements, invoices and updates to partners. ZixMail is used for internal communication within 7-Eleven, protecting sensitive employee information, intellectual property and executive exchanges.
“Customers in all industries have a need to communicate sensitive information securely, including customer information, employee personal information, intellectual property, and board and executive discussions,” said Rick Spurr, ZixCorp’s chairman and CEO. “We appreciate the value 7-Eleven places on our solution as evidenced by their continued expansion of ZixCorp services.”
