The new location brings local jobs and fresh foods, and incorporates energy efficient features.
A new Rutter’s Farm Store scheduled to open in early May is expected to bring 40 jobs to the Fayetteville, Pa. area, the Public Opinion News Online reported.
Rutter’s operates smaller stores in the area, but reportedly has looked for several years to find a site large enough to allow the chain to build one of their newer stores.
Soon to be open 24/7, the new store measures 5,500-square-feet and feature eight gas pumps—four of which offer diesel fuel—a dedicated diesel fueling facility behind the store for tractor-trailers, and a two-bay automatic car wash.
The store’s interior features a restaurant with menu selections ranging from stir-fry dishes to fresh baked sub and ciabatta rolls, with touch-screen ordering. The store will also have public rest rooms, a premium coffee island, seven televisions and restaurant seating for 11 people.
The building includes a number of environmentally-friendly features, such as a white reflective roof, triple-glazed windows, LED lighting, skylights, extra insulation, heater-less door frames, water reclamation systems in the car wash and phosphate-free soaps.
