The 18th annual Halloween Promotion will kick off Oct. 1, to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, one of the world’s premier centers for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases.
During the month-long Halloween Promotion, thousands of restaurants, convenience stores, grocery stores and other retail locations nationwide will encourage consumers to make a $1 donation to St. Jude to support its groundbreaking research and lifesaving care for kids battling catastrophic childhood diseases. In return for their contribution, donors write their names on pumpkin-themed pinups, which the establishments display throughout the month of October.
“Each year, thousands of customers show their compassion for the children of St. Jude by participating in the Halloween Promotion,” said Richard Shadyac Jr., CEO of ALSAC, the fundraising organization of St. Jude. “Even in difficult economic times, the lifesaving work of St. Jude must continue. Each dollar donated helps in our fight to find cures for cancer and other deadly childhood diseases so that children in communities everywhere will have a second chance at life.”
Since the program began in 1992, MillerCoors, its distributors and retailers have raised more than $41 million for the children of St. Jude.
Pinups can be purchased nationwide at a number of locations including at Casey’s General Stores.
