Denver-based Catering by Design, which offers everything from intimate dinners to large corporate barbeques and was named Catering Company of the Year 2008 by Event Solutions Magazine, depends on Electrolux Professional products to meet its catering demands. This includes an Electrolux air-o-chill 102 blast chiller/freezer and air-o-steam 102 combi oven, which together comprise the air-o-system. The air-o-system is Electrolux’s completely integrated cooking solution. “The equipment is phenomenal and so easy to use. Since the equipment was already in the building, we had to figure out how to work the machines on our own. We had no problems learning how to operate it and didn’t even need any directions,” said Chef Cade Nagy, owner of Catering by Design. The company also uses banqueting racks that slide the cooked food from the air-o-steam combi oven directly into the air-o-chill blast chiller/freezer, saving time and energy.
