FuelQuest Inc., an on-demand software and services company for the global downstream energy industry, said it has signed a six-year renewal with Circle K for the use of its Fuel Management System (FMS).
FuelQuest’s FMS will be available to all affiliates and subsidiaries within the Couche-Tard family, though Circle K and FuelQuest have collaborated since 2004 on fuel management challenges. The new agreement extends their relationship into 2014.
“After performing a comprehensive review of our fuel program as part of our ongoing business strategy analysis, we moved quickly to solidify our long-term relationship with FuelQuest,” said Brian Hannasch, senior vice president of U.S. operations for Couche-Tard. “We have been pleased with both the value we have received from FuelQuest’s solutions and their willingness to collaborate as true partners to solve our fuel management challenges.”
FuelQuest’s Fuel Management System is a comprehensive, end-to-end supply chain solution focusing on reducing the cost of procuring, managing and accounting for bulk fuel. FMS said it powers the largest fuel management network in North America with more than 15 billions gallons managed annually.
“This latest extension of our relationship reflects the hard work from both Circle K’s and FuelQuest’s teams to enable new business models and expand the breadth and depth of Circle K’s fuel supply network,” said Matt Tormollen, executive vice president at FuelQuest. “We will continue to focus on driving the value of our solutions within Circle K and across the Couche-Tard family while providing the world-class support our customers appreciate.”
