United Supermarkets has chosen software and services company FuelQuest to streamline and manage the grocery chain’s bulk fuel processes, FuelQuest said.
United Supermarkets is a regional grocery chain operating 47 stores in 27 cities across north and west Texas.
“Heightened fuel price volatility coupled with the expansion of our retail fuel sites throughout Texas required us to seek out a strategic fuel sourcing solution to implement best practices across our statewide fuel operations,” said Chris Bridgford, fuel director of United Supermarkets. “FuelQuest’s Fuel Management Services enables us to complement our internal talents with FuelQuest’s veteran staff and industry-leading solutions to obtain the optimal supply portfolio at the most competitive prices so we can pass that savings along to our guests.”
FuelQuest, which serves the downstream energy industry, will supply United Supermarkets its Fuel Management Services to help the grocery store in a number of facets, including:
