Sam’s Club is opening its first Business Center format in Houston later next month, which will offer a greatly expanded selection of products and services to meet the diverse needs of small business owners and others in foodservice, convenience stores, vending, office administration, floral operations, hotel/motel and more.
The new locations’ grand opening ceremony is 6 a.m. Aug. 27, and will immediately be followed by a special business expo where business owners – including Sam’s Club members and non-members – can learn about new ways to help their businesses survive, thrive and grow.
An exclusive tour for news media is planned for Aug. 26 from 8 to 10 a.m., though local business and community leaders will be invited to attend the sneak preview. Grants will also be presented to local organizations.
“This is a Sam’s Club unlike any other, and we are excited to have it debut in Houston,” said Sam’s Club Business Center General Manager, Tony Puente. “We have a high percentage of Business Members at this location as well as many businesses in this market that we will be able to better serve by focusing our efforts on delivering business merchandise and solutions specific to the independent business owners’ needs. We are going to be able to offer our members new products and an expanded assortment of solutions at a value they have come to expect from Sam’s Club.”
Sam’s Club Business Members will still enjoy many of the same valuable services they have come to expect from Sam’s Club and their third-party vendors, such as Click-n-Pull/Fax-n-Pull, Merchant Credit Card Processing, Employee Health Insurance and Travel Services. In addition, Business Members will discover plenty of new services like vending machine lease/purchase plans and specialty vending items.
Members can also benefit from the values on document management services and mailbox rentals, as well as a full-service Copy/Print/Ship Center located onsite. The Sam’s Club Business Center also provides small business owners with many eco-friendly options, such as ink refill services for most major brands and dry-pack floral, which offers a unique product for restaurateurs, caterers and florists. Members can expect to see additional services and new items added throughout the inaugural year as the Sam’s Club Business Center rolls out new ways to stay current and relevant for its Business Member needs.
Sam’s Club caters to businesses and families nationwide in 593 locations. The Sam’s ClubBusiness Center will remain accessible to consumer Advantage Members, in addition to BusinessMembers, with their current membership cards. Hours of operation are tailored to businesses, as the store is open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays.
