Gold Medal Products presents its new ribbon element fryers. The fryers use a ribbon element to cook as opposed to the traditional heat element. The ribbon fryers have the same footprint as the heat element fryers, but they have a deeper tank for more oil capacity and quicker recovery time while cooking. The rectangular shape enhances the flow of oil past the element surface which pulls heat away from the element surface. This results in less cooking and oil degradation. The new FC-4 has the same footprint and power requirement as the traditional FW-12, but increases production by more than 30%. They also come with a new emergency safety switch located on the front of the tank, which will be required by UL in the next few years.
